Title: Do MIDI messages sent from the computer over USB route to the MIDI out?

I have a Keylab Essential 61 hooked up to my iMac via USB.

Will MIDI sent from the computer over USB back to the keylab route to the MIDI out?

As a sample use case, consider sending patches to a Volca FM using Dexed. I can choose "Arturia KeyLab Essential 61 MIDI Out" as a MIDI destination, but sending patches doesn't seem to work.

Is the MIDI Out a strict MIDI Out for messages from the keyboard itself, or will it route MIDI? If so, is there any configuration I need to make within the control center?

Hi,

Yes MIDI Out is only from the controler itself, there is no MIDI Thru from USB.
