Title: Optional default velocity settings
Post by: JX3D on January 22, 2018, 10:55:17 pm
It would be nice if there was a way to keep Full Velocity on when switching between presets.
So I think there should be an option to set it to one of these values:

This was discussed here: https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=92100.0 (https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=92100.0)

Thanks for you great work.

Yeah, I think this was would be a great idea. The presets with the DX7 velocity setting sound really muffled, I think we should have the option to set a default velocity according to our taste. If you watch this YouTube video - https://youtu.be/JZRZfIA8rF4 the DX7V sounds terrible compared to Dexed and a real DX7 but it’s all because of the default DX7 velocity setting - turn it to the Full setting and the DX7V sounds amazing.

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

Please read this: https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=92048.0
And please keep in mind how a hardware DX7 actually sounds.

Please also read the manual about this velocity subject.

Requesting extra options is fine. But DX7 velocity is actually working correct allready.

Hi,

Thanks LBH for your answer, I have nothing more to add. The video was remade as it should be : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHycGwuWcn0

For us, any parameter that has direct effect on the sound shall be saved within the preset and not be global.

Regards,
