Title: ENV Page 2 advanced parameter RESET possible bug.
Post by: LBH on June 06, 2017, 02:37:03 am
I'm having a hard time to see if the RESET setting for envelopes on page 2 advanced parameters work correct. Do they?
Should'nt the envelope reset in all playmodes when RESET is selected?

Anyone having a good example where RESET is different from using MULTI for the same envelope?

Is there a bug? At the moment it to me look like it's a bug, as the RESET do't seem to work.

The Arturia manual need a lot more explaining about this. And RESET to me don't seem to work like explained in the original Matrix owners manual.

I believe this is a bug. No response.

If things in Matrix work correct, then please create some examples that show it works, and how it works.

I found out something is happening. It's clear in Mono/ Unison playmode where there is difference when playing with overlapping notes or not. In Single legato/ overlapping notes don't trigger. But in Multi mode it trigger on every note. But then there are RESET i still wonder about.

So perhaps the questions to be answered is:
1. What is the difference between using "RESET" and "MULTI"?
2. How should the different settings work in mono/ unison mode and in poly mode with different playmodes?

Another question to be answered is:
3. What is the differnce between having the envelope RESET on or not?

The following is from the original owners manual:
"RESET:
This mode causes the Envelope to start its cycle from the
very beginning every time the Voice receives a new trigger.
This means if an Envelope that is in mid-cycle receives a new
trigger, it will start all over again from 0 output level the
moment the new trigger is received. This is true for all
triggers -from keys being played, External Triggers or LFO
triggers. In the normal mode, if an Envelope receives a new
trigger at some point in its cycle, it will start over but not from
0. It will continue from the point in its cycle where the new
trigger was received at its current output level set by AMP."

I can't make Matrix 12 V behave this way. There are no difference in having RESET on or not.
It looks like a bug.
But if i'm wrong then please provide an example for using the envelope RESET. AN example that really show the difference between using RESET on and off, and that aslo show the difference between using RESET and MULTI trigger. All in the different playmodes.
