Fyi:
- Cubase Artists 8 (or Pro, not relevant)
- MacOSX Yosemite
- Analog Lab 2
- Arturia Collection V4
After the recent update of Analog Lab 2 (4 or 5 days ago?), Cubase crash after the splash screen, when vst are scanned. Arriving toAanalog Lab 2, Cubase crash, no solution. Uninstalled, following this Guide:
https://www.arturia.com/faq/installation/uninstall-remove-a-software
Now all works.

Hello,
This is a known issue and it will be fixed on the next Analog Lab 2 update.
Best regards,
Matthieu

Thank you,
Any idea how long will it take?

In the coming weeks, I can't say more for now...I'll tell you the information as soon as I have it.
In the meantime the workaround is to use the VST3 and not the VST2.

Hi there.
I too am having problems having installed the V Collection.
Working fine when I use Logic, but crashes Cubase 8 on startup - even if I follow your advise and deactivate all VST2s (not just Analog Lab 2 that is crashing it, as tried deactivating just that one first, but it still did it).
Really need a solution to this - I am a working composer and have current sessions using V Collection on Logic, so can't just uninstall until you fix it - and at same time have projects on Cubase that need delivering, but now I can't even open it.
What's going on, and when will you sort this?! Really not good enough.
Sorry to grumble on first post - but this has left me in a real situation... Thanks.

Hi,
Can you provide any crash log after Cubase shut down ? For now the only known issue on our side is Analog Lab 2 in VST2 for Cubase 8. Did you tried using the VST2 (without Analog Lab 2) and see if Cubase is still crashing ?
Regards,
Matthieu

Ok.
So after deactivating Analog Lab 2 VST2 and then doing a restart, the crash no no longer occurs. I guess the restart was a necessary step...
Many thanks,
Matt.

I'm glad it's working now.
Have a nice week end.

Hello, How do I deactivate the vst 2 file. Do I just delete it from the library folder? As I have done that and I still seem to have the same problem in cubase as the other user following the same steps (deleting and restarting). Also I'm only having this problem after downloading the V Collection and updating analog lab 2 to the newest version.
Thanks,
-
Hi,
Yes just delete it from the vst folder (and check on Cubase that it only sees the vst3 in the Plug-in Manager window). An update of Analog Lab 2 with a fix for this issue should be online very soon.
Best,
Matthieu
