Title: NO Sync in MIDI Control
Post by: interferenz on May 13, 2017, 07:00:24 am
Hi,

I have a brand new BeatStep Pro black edition and try to work with the midi control under OS X 10.11.6.
First the Beatstep wasn't recognized by the application, I had to remove a generic Icon in the midi setup, then it was ok.
I have made a firmware update to the new Version 1.4.0.20.

Now I can manually store and recall Projects to/from the Beatstep, but I cannot sync.
The sync-button is disabled! When I focus the Button there is a tooltip 'Synchronization unsupported for this device. Prefer using Store/Recall'

Do I miss something? The Midi Control Application is rather useless without syncing...

thx
Volker

Hi interferenz,
Yes sync function is not available with BSP. However, DEVICE SETTINGS are always synced.
If you want to sync your sequences, you need to use "Store/Recall" functions like you said.
Sync function is not available in BSP because it takes to much time to sync (too much data to exchange).

Best,
Y.
