I downloaded some presets from the preset zone but when I went to import them in I couldn't find where they were put? Where is the directory to insert them located?

Hi welcome to Arturia forums.
Downloads are in the folder you have specified in your browser, or if you have choosen to select a path at download, they are in the folder you chose. You can check your folder download list or sownload path. If you hav'nt changed anything they probably are in the standard download folder - in windows it's named "downloads".

I attempted to import the Matrix 12 Ambient Expansion pack and the and the Matrix 12 Ionic vibration and I put them in the Matrix preset folder to unzip and run them and nothing shows up in the preset directory.

The Ambient Expansion Pack was developed for Matrix V from V-Collection 4. The expansion pack will not install presets for the new Matrix V2 from V-collection 5. If you only have Matrix V2 from V-Collection 5, then you can't use thethe Ambient Exspansion Pack as it is.

There are now soundpacks for VC5 here: https://www.arturia.com/analoglab/sounds
Some are free and converted from the old soundpacks.
