Hi,
Mix output on my DB has constant audible static hiss, which gets closer to white noise sound when I crank up the master volume. Headphones output has some hiss to, but it's lot less audible and doesn't change it's tone with when cranked. Does anyone else has noticed something like this?
Cheers!

I've recorded a small example: DB mix output is connected to apogee duet via short guitar cable. I'm twisting the master level knob and increasing instrument input volume on apogee, so it get's really loud in second half of recording. https://soundcloud.com/mykhailo-purish/drumbrute-mix-output-noise

I just got a drumbrute today and think I have something similar. Not really the white noise but the other noise. Sounds like a ground issue or something always going. I have compared it to my Rhythm Wolf and the Wolf has no noise using same outlet/cable. Get same noise out of all individual outputs and mix/headphones. Only had outputs and power, no USB or anything else connected.

Tested more today mine is just the same. White noise comes in around 60% master volume knob and gets pretty loud.

Hello.
Here we can distinguish two type of noise in your recording.
One looks like white noise.
The second looks like a ground loop noise. (Check ground loops on Google)
Does the noise appear with the USB plugged ?
Looking forward to hearing from you

Yes, it gets white noise when the master goes above 50-60%.
I do not think this is a ground issue as I have tested other drum machines and synths on the same outlet that do not get either noise when fully cranked.
I do not have the USB plugged in. only power and outputs.

I think I've figured out what was my problem - I was running DB into instrument preamp of my audio interface, which is amplifying line-level signal too much bringing up the noise. When I bypass the preamp and run DB on +4 dbu or -10 dbu there's no issue with noise.
