Title: Breathy Alto Flute patch
Post by: hermitnerd on March 03, 2017, 06:01:05 am
I set out to do a Mellotron V Flute type patch with this, and then made it a bit more expressive with aftertouch.

A short demo: https://soundcloud.com/paul-schilling/modularv3-breathy-alto-flute-demo

If the Modular V had CV inputs for the envelope ADSR stages (like the Origin does) this could be a lot more expressive (like faster attacks with higher velocity etc.)

For a less "layered" sound reduce Gain Mixer 12 and turn off Chorus

Nice work!   :D This patch replicates the intro synth used on Sussanne Sundfør's song "Kamikaze" dare i say spot on!
I have already made a pretty decent version of this Mellotron flute with the Sytrus vst synth (fl studio) but i have to admit that this one is even a tad closer to the "original".
Kamikaze if anyone is interested:  https://youtu.be/tGv3HCcOICU

I love this, has a bit of that "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" vibe to it, really beautiful!
