Title: Midi file import
Post by: FastGraph on January 02, 2017, 10:37:08 pm
Would save me a lot of time when I'd be able to import midi files using MCC.

+1.. would be extremely useful, and probably very easy for Arturia to add this to MCC

Perhaps as a workaround, you can record MIDI sequences. Just play it from your MIDI source and make sure you are synced. Not a very complex operation.

I've replied to another thread regarding this by another member.
I agree it would be good, although messy.  The pattern format used by the BSP sorta means importing a regular .mid file won't be as straight forward as importing a .mid file to a full-blown high res multi-track MIDI sequencer.  Max pattern is 64 steps @ 8ppqn, swing and note shift not withstanding (my M1 uses a 24ppqn resolution).  We'd need to set what step division we are importing to, then how many patterns to split the track into.
All that said, if it could happen, it would make the BSP a great remix tool.

Yes, it's the only thing really missing - the ability to export (or import) your creations to .MID format for use in your DAW or other gear like a MPC.

I almost didn't purchase the Beatstep Pro because it lacked this simple ability. So yes, it that important to some users.

PLEASE :)
