Title: How to create physically modelled instrument?
Post by: ArturiaPlanet on December 21, 2016, 10:50:06 am
Hello,
I am trying to get more into Spark and creating instruments.

There are some physically modeled instruments in library. But how can one create new physically modeled instrument in new project?
And how to choose what type of physical model will it be (kick, snare, ...)?

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Do you mean by using the modular section? Or rather instrument selection in a new project?

By physical instrument I mean the thing that loads when

1) Create new project
2) Go to Instrument library and filter by Physical Model
3) Select an Instrument, e.g. Mad Scientist_BD

When going to Modular section for this instrument, there is message Physical Model Instrument Not Editable (see attached image).

I wonder, where can one create own physically modeled instrument when not loading existing one?
Are there various physically modeled engines?

Hi ,
The modular section is only for the sample an analogue instruments there is no editing of the physical  instruments only the 6 macros.
Please see the manual page 56 .

Well I gathered there are modules in the modular section that use physical modeling; the karplus strong module & the springmass module. Use the oscillators as input and hear what happens.
