Title: Assign Cutoff to Mod
Post by: winihh on September 29, 2016, 10:07:05 am
Hey there,

I am using Arturia Keystep (very happy with it) and V-Collection. I want to assign the Cutoff in Prophet V (5) to Mod-Wheel... (or to aftertouch).

Is this possible?

I have no problem assigning knobs of my Korg Nano-Control or m-audio code 49.

(By the way: A keystep with some controller knobs would be a killer-product for me).

If you set Prophet in hybrid mode, then you can use the modulation matrix for P5 sounds and make both modwheel and aftertouch/ pressure control cutoff and other things.

Modwheel and aftertouch Midi CC can unfortunately not be assigned directly to cutoff. Only by using the modulation matrix.
A controller knob can be assigned directly to cutoff like you describe.

Thanks...

I found that. But: using hybrid changes the Sound.

mmmh...

No the sound is the same in hybrid mode if you route only using P5 in Audio/Effects view.
Perhaps you can exsperience a volume difference for some reason. But that you can correct.

Edit. I have just tested. You are right. There should'nt be any sound difference but there are.
The noise generator is not working well and the effects seems to sound different. To me this must be caused by bugs.
And the volume differences is not good and the balance in sound is not as it should be.  The hybrid mode needs to be checked.
I don't use Prophet at the moment. Other issues are reported in the forum.
Also it would be nice if a matrix was availble in P5 mode.

Would be nice to hear what Arturia say about this.
