I have been fighting with ASC crashing on my system when I try to run it,
I receive an error message that states" Arturia Software Center Agent has Stopped working. A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
Tech support has tried to help, but I dont think they understand the program is crashing I have sent the the agent config log and the windows events viewer log
I have removed and re installed many many times
I disables AV and firewall
I run as Admin
etc etc
I tried to download an older version of ASC but it updates first thing and I am back to square one, even a restore point to the older version still updates and then crashes
I am running win10 pro and it had worked up until the latest ASC update
I dont know enough about the under the hood scheme of ASC to understand what its looking for to be able to run properly,
the only change to my DAW ws a replacement motherboard since the LAN died on it, but oddly enough, windows didnt ask to be licensed again after that.
Could a replacement BB possibly crash ASC, no other program is affected

Hi musicman100,
Did you try to delete this folder :
C:/ProgramData/Arturia/ArturiaSoftwareCenter
Then reinstall ?
-
Hello Ben, yes I did completely removed that folder and the ASC folder in Programs/Data also
many,many times :-[
-
I meant to say the programs/x86 /arturia/asc and of course the folder you mentioned
-
Just to be sure. What folder on what path excatly have you removed?
The error must be somewhere.
So just in case.
Ben arturia is not refering to a folder on the path - programs/ Data as you write or on the path programs(x86) or programs/x86 /arturia/asc as you write, but to the folder named ProgramData/..... Note the folder name is not Program or Program files but ProgramData.
The ProgramData folder is a hidden folder. To find it on the path Ben describe you have to enable windows to show hidden files.
If you need it: In this link you can see how to enable windows to show hidden files:
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/show-hidden-files-and-folders-in-windows-vista/
Hidden folders like the ProgramData folder is toned down when show hidden files is enabled to see it.
BTW: Sometimes it make a difference if you restart the PC after deleting the folders before reinstalling the application.
Sorry if i misunderstand or interfear. Sometimes it's the small details that counts.

Yes that was my error in typing adding the / it IS the folder programData which i can see and drilling down to Arturia folder then deleting the whole ASC folder
thank you for trying to help I have sent the windows events viewer error logs to Arturia in the hope they could decipher the error messages, I tried Googling them but didnt find anything specific
-
Then i wish you good luck. I hope you get it solved.
Best.

Whatever license scheme asc uses has got to be tied to hardware other than the HD, attempting to remove ASC via normal means apparently is not cleaning it completely, there are some vestiges remaining tied to my old mother board, thats the only idea I have
tech support has tried very SIMPLE offers, but this is not a simple issue, why for the life of me ASC doesnt start with a clean slate, but the crash is centered around the software center AGENT which is the culprit of the crash
well I am at the point of giving up and giving up on arturia ...
