Bass presets seem to reset after stopping and then playing a MIDI clip. This is happing in several different instruments. The presets do not reset using other preset types such as Pads, Leads, etc...only when the type is Bass. For example, with Ableton stopped and the Arp 2600 V3 Human Bass preset selected, when played the preset changes to the Goth Bass preset...every time...regardless of which preset is selected with Ableton stopped. While Ableton is playing, presets can be changed but as soon as the project is stopped and then restarted the patch changes back to Goth Bass. This is happening in every instrument I've tested with the Bass types (for each instrument the Bass preset resets to something different...with CS-80 V3 it's Nu Bub Bass) Other sound types do not exhibit this problem.
I'm using the individual instruments in Ableton 9.6.1. I'm not using Analog Lab 2. My computer is a late 2013 iMac, 32 GB RAM with OS 10.11.5
Until I figure this out I'm only able to use one Bass presets for each of the V Collection instruments!

BTW, I just downloaded and installed the latest versions of V Collection 5 today.
I just tried Analog Lab 2. Presets appear to reset for all instrument when using Analog Lab 2 on a MIDI track. Currently V Collection 5 is unusable for me.

Hi jreber, and welcome on this board.
In order for me to investigate further on this one,
could you please attach the project you are working with?
thanks !

Re, i checked more about your issue with the help of a colleague at sound design.
It looks like every track clip contains a program change message, as you can see on screenshot below.
down to the "notes" panel , you'll see "Pgm change" with bank, sub and pgm. i suggest you delete the "34" value. it should solves your problem.
please keep me aware if it's ok for you or not.
Best,
-
Yes, this was indeed the problem and was unrelated to V Collection. Thanks.
