There seems to be a problem with the REASSIGN mode when using WITHOUT Voice Steal.
After all 12 voices have been used for some keys, ONLY these keys will play, using the assigned voices.
No other key can be played.
To reproduce this, use e.g. the 'Father Peter' patch and change the voice mode to REASSIGN. Play some notes (e.g. chromatically) and you will notice that after 12 tones, no more new sound is produced.
I am using the Standalone on Win7(64).
Cheers,
Martin

That patch defaults to V.steal off. I take it 'Reassign' (or any other mode) won't work past 12 voices, unless V. steal is turned on.
I can get the 13th etc notes to play only with V. steal enabled (highlighted).

Well, Voice steal should allow or disallow the stealing of voices which are still sounding.
But even without Voice Steal, voices which drop silent again (possibly all envelopes back in rest state) should become available again.
If that way of locking voices indefinitely, then I guess Voice Steal should be switched ON by default when selecting REASSIGN.

Ah, I now see what you mean, and I agree - it's a bug.
I misunderstood the issue and was holding 12 notes at once, and then seeing the behaviour on adding the 13th, but that is not the issue.
In 'Reassign', playing 12 notes one after each other, *without* holding the keys i.e. staccato, it stops playing after it has sounded 12 notes. All voices have definitely finished sounding, but it will not free up voices. It will only 'revoice' previously played notes.
That's not how 'Reassign' is meant to work, and not as described in the Arturia Manual.

here's a description of how the modes work from an actual Oberheim manual.
'Reassign' is meant to act like 'Rotate' but retrigger notes of the same pitch with the same voice.
Freed up voices should then become available.

This is still an issue with build 2.0.4 1073
-
...2.0.4.1120 since June.

Looks like a retrigger bug.
I agree with the mentioned behavior descriptions.
To me it looks like the reassign fo work with a blend of rotate and reassigning the same voice to a note allready assinged a voice. The note indicator in the voive section show the voice is reassigned. But the problem is, that the reassigned note often don't retrigger the envelope.
When playing a single note it seems to work, unless when you put on the new Sustain pedal function and use hold. Then the envelope is not retriggered.
Also when playing many notes the envelope retrigger is randomly missing.
Also even new notes is suddenly not playing at all unless the voice steal is on.
And with the new pedal sustain function on and hold the problem is apparant.
Something is wrong for sure. And perhaps there are issues with other playmodes too because of this.

Reassign mode is still broken. Has been since release, and raised in June 2016.
'Reassign' is meant to act like 'Rotate' but retrigger notes of the same pitch with the same voice.
Freed up voices should then become available.

Reassign mode still broken in 2.1.0.205. Wow guys, this is an old one.

Arturia we have been waiting way to long allready for updates. And then when they finally come, you have not fixed that much.
Why have even such important things like this not been fixed?

Perhaps the way to get these issues addressed is to raise them as individual support tickets.
This really is only a user forum. If it becomes a ticket it goes into a queue and should get assigned to be addressed somehow.

The reassign mode still does not trigger notes once all have been used up ie the mode is still faulty in v 2.3.2 1889
