Hi
when I play the keyboard inbuilt in to analog lab 2
with a mouse or keyboard I get double notes lighting up 1 octave down or up
the notes do not sound they show up as if I am pressing 2 notes
any body else or just me?
Also in studio view if I move around the studio and select different synths
I am unable to change the sounds via the < > buttons
it just stays on what ever sound / patch is showing
cheers

Hi turbo_kev,
i already answered in the topic relating your issue in studio view.
for this "double note" issue, could you please tell me on what preset did you encounter that?
Some presets have an apreggiator, which explains the fact where if you play only one note , you'll see more playing notes on the virtual keyboard.
strange if you have no sound.
Could you tell me more about your setup and computer specs please?
Best,
-
Hi Germain
thanks for the reply
it seems to be only in the multi presets I donīt think these pre-sets have an arpegiator
water lilies , odd ambience , modern memories .
the double notes are always 1 octave apart
I'm not a musician I am only a player with a love for analog synths sounds
so forgive me if I am wasting your time
PS I would like to understand why I cant use the < > in studio view
if it is only me then I have no idea as the computer I am on is only 2 weeks old and has very high specs
with nothing but Bitwig studio and arturia products installed
my specs are in my sig
cheers

Hi Turbo_kev !
I looked into these 3 presets and figured out why you are seeing these "double notes".
For all these 3 multi presets, it appears that one part is actually octave-shifted, some kind of transposition. Which will act like this : even if you play a C3 on your keyboard, you'll hear and see a c4.
To better understand this feature , i invite you to load "modern memories" preset. Then in the info panel on the right, you have four tabs : tracks / midi / effects / preset.
if you click on midi, it will open this tab where you can do many things like setting the range, midi channel, octave shift , transpose and so on...
You'll see that the "grey road piano" part is set on octave 0 and "elysium" on octave 1.
If you set elysium on octave 0 and then play a note on your keyboard, there will be no more "double notes".
Hope it's clear for you now.
i maybe have a clue for your < > issue, i'll answer in the right topic.
Best,
