Title: [Solved] Farfisa-V demo: one third of the patches have no sound
Post by: aaron aardvark on June 05, 2016, 05:43:42 am
The subject title says it all.  Is this typical?  I own V Collection 3 (I think that's the number) already, and looking at updated to V Collection 5.  I am testing this on a new Mac Book Air with Mac OSX 10.11.5; Arturia Analog Factory Experience keyboard and Steinberg UR22mkII interface.  I've already tried Moog Modular-V, mini Moog-V, Matrix 12-V, and Synclavier V with no noticeable issues in the last 2 days.

Hi,

No, this behaviour is not typical indeed, but we are unable to reproduce this issue.
Could you please provide me the name of some presets that don't produce any sound?

Thanks,

Sam,
I already used up my 20 minutes in the demo mode.  Or will it work again for another 20 minutes in the future?  I plan on buying the V Collection 5 within a few weeks.  If the problem persists, I'll get back to you.

You can restart it as often as you want in demo mode. The 20 minute restriction is per session.

Hi again,

Martinl is right, the 20 min demo restriction is per session.

Another note: some presets only have a bass part (none of the green/white tabs are engaged). With those presets, only the first (or the first two, depending on the "Grey Keys" switch state) octave(s) actually produce(s) sound.
Some example presets: "Bass Drum", "Bass Guitar", "Counter Bass".

Best,

Guys,
I tried it again (I didn't know the demo would work again), and it worked fine.  So hopefully that was just a one time fluke.  :)
