Title: Waveform volume on MiniBrute different from MicroBrute?
Post by: Old_School on September 30, 2015, 08:00:36 am
I was hearing about how on the MiniBrute if you push the sliders past halfway mark the sound gets overdriven however on mine I really get no difference past the halfway mark. Not even a volume increase. Now, I just bought a MicroBrute and I definitely hear a difference when you turn the volume knobs of the waveforms past mid position. So I'm wondering if what I get volume/sound wise from the MicroBrute when turning up the waveform volume knobs is what I should be getting on the MiniBrute when I push the sliders up. As it stands now, it's a big difference between the two synths.

Perhaps because the Metalizer or there was a change  ;)

I'm just curious if anyone else gets a volume increase and eventually an overdriven sound when pushing the waveform sliders past halfway mark. If so my MiniBrute may be defective.

Old_School,
The change is not always all that obvious.
If you run it in low pass filter with cutoff @ 1/4 to 1/2 and turn up the resonance to 1/2 to 3/4 it is much more easily heard.
This you tube video shows it well.
Just google "Arturia MiniBrute Tricks and Tips by Fluxwithit" I did not want to post a link directly.
