Is it possible to import midi files using the Midi Control Center?
This would be great for saving clips from a DAW and then importing it as a pattern in the Beatstep Pro.
For example, export a clip in ableton as a midi file, then import or open it up and save it to the Beatstep Pro for offline use.

Hi moogkid,
Unfortunately this option is not available in the MidiControlCenter.
But i will list it as a feature request.
I agree with you this could be a very nice feature !

Hi , I did ask for this feature a few months ago to jb ben, but moogkid you can record your loops into the beat step pro sequences.

Hello, I consider buying the Beatstep pro soon to replace my main sequencer for live play and composing new tracks. I had the same question as moogkid ( I used to export old songs through 10 track patterns from a DAW to midi file for my RM1X ).
So terrym you say I could play midi files from one sequencer and record them on the beatstep pro? They are very complicated tracks, is there a way to split midi recordings on the beatstep pro? or maybe recording each patterns individually..
thanks

Hi, you can only record upto 64 steps in mono for the 2 sequences and 64 step drums pattern and thats about it what i do is play midi files of drums or basslines from cubase and record them into the bsp. from this i can edit the (loop) and play and record it back into cubase if i wish or play live into a recording.

Similarly, is it possible to export MIDI files from the Midi Control Center? :)
The BSP manual teasingly says;
"12.3.4 Save, Delete, Import/Export, etc.
These important features have been documented in the MIDI Control Center manual,
which you will find in the software Help menu. Look in section 7.1 of the Help file for
information about Save, Save As…, New, Delete, Import and Export."
... but I was unable to find the MIDI Control Center manual via the Arturia web site.
What would be great is the option to export "MIDI stems" from the MIDI Control Center as MIDI files so they can be imported into a DAW for further processing.
If that is not possible, what are the options? MIDI out from the BSP into a DAW and record MIDI in realtime?
Thanks in advance.

Hello again,
I read " Load/Sync sequences and settings with MIDI Control Center >= 1.2.0 " In the last firmware update. Is that what this topic is all about?

Hi Terrym. Can you explain how?

If midi import comes, it would be nice to have drag&drop or copy/paste with other applications.
