Title: Just Ordered Origin
Post by: Composer on April 19, 2015, 01:30:01 am
Hey, guys. I'm new to the forums and my sole motivation for creating an account is that I literally just purchased an Origin Keyboard. I'm slightly nervous because of the hit-and-miss nature of the build but I'm still excited to experience what this baby can do firsthand.

The Origin Keyboard I got a hold of was an old demo from MusiciansFriend that was since bought out from another company, so I got a fantastic price (another reason why I couldn't pass it up!). It should arrive at my place next week. The seller told me he thoroughly tested it and there were no issues but who knows how honest he was. I'm willing to take the risk for this thing, haha. I can return it for a full refund if there are issues.

Wish me luck, guys. I'll keep everyone updated. We're in this together it looks like, haha. If anyone wants to give me any advice as a new owner I'd appreciate that as well, but this post is mostly an ice-breaker for me.

Take care,

SMB

Welcome to the Origin family!

Buying any H.W synth always involves a risk of knobs..sliders ..buts going south in time, and the Origin is no different.
BUT..always but..now you have a truly unicue synth that does things NO other synth can do,and it's sound is great.
I have mine for some years now and nothing has broken..yet. (desktop)
Waith until you worked with it..got to know it's depths..you will be surprised..no doubth.
So..good luck,and happy tweaking.

Oh..and buy a Keylab 25 with it,most controls of the Origin can be used with it automatically mapped
that way you can spare using the controls on the origin itself, avoiding wearing them out.
But you bought the keyboard right?
Even then..if the board might fail, you can use the keylab with it for a very reasonable price,as a workaround.

Anyway..just my 2 cents.
