Title: Unloading Samples
Post by: daksha on December 23, 2014, 09:22:05 am
Hi people out there! I got a SparkLe on saturday and I'm running it under Cubase 8 (multiouts), Mac OSX Maverics. Got it running in minutes, I find it sounds clean and brillant, seems also being stable by now.
But there is something I miss...example situation: I create a new project, and start with a kickdrum sample from my hdd, simple one, no multilayer. I start building my song, a bass, and then tweak the sampled bassdrum to better fit with the bass...but...mhhh no, I don't like it, I want to change bassdrum.
I go to SparkLE, push Select-PAD 1 to choose my kick slot, than go to instruments tab, disk tab in this case, and start scrolling samples. When I load them, they are loaded into the sampler, but I tweaked the sound earlier, so it sounds altered from the sample player engine. And this is said in the manual also, page 80: "for sample based instruments, the synthesis patch that contains it may affect the sound drastically and your sample could sound totally different". Is there a simple way to reset the sample player ? Or to simply unload a previously loaded sample with its entire engine, so that new loaded samples will sound "clean"? How can I delete the previous patch? I found nowhere a simple command to do this...but it's a MUST!!!
Am I missing it or there is really no quick way to do this? If there is no way I'll suggest it as a request to Arturia staff. This MUST be implemented for a clean and coherent workflow.
