Title: Monophonic/Legato Modes?

I notice some 'monophonic' patches will not trigger the next note to the right if the previous note is still being held, but will trigger the note to the left. Other patches are the opposite. How can I can enable/disable this function in the M-12?

For using monophonic sounds with legato you usually have to use one of the Unison modes. The modes could be set at the "Voices" page at the Zones section. With the "UNI-LAST" mode it will be monophonic Unison with Legato and last note priority.
The amount of Unison voices depends on how many voices are activated at the Voices section. If you need only one you could also activate only one of the voices. Unison detune seems to be done by using the coarse and fine tuning options for each of the voices.

The things you describe are the UNI-HIGH and UNI-LOW modes, usually you want UNI-LAST.
They are in the Voices page, in the right hand side under zones.
These modes really shine when you are creating a multi patch with several zones, you can have a bass sound holding down the lowest note of a chord using UNI-LOW, or a lead sound riding on the top note with UNI-HIGH.
