Title: Midi clock sync from DJM-900?

Does anyone know if it's possible to use a DJM-900 to effectively send midi clock to Spark in standalone? I've connected the mixer to my pc via usb and set the midi clock input in Spark to the DJM-900.  When I push the start/stop button on the mixer, Spark receives the start signal but does not play continuously, it just slowly jerks its way through the sequence in random spurts.  This would be a very nice live setup just to drop in some patterns over another tune during my dj sets. Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible?
