Thank you very much for this.

One thing I worry about is how to get that LCD ribbon seated back into the clamp on the LCD circuit board. my fingers are not small enough!

Dear Philippe:

I'm not exaggerating when I say that this single act of generosity literally made my month! Bravo to you, Philippe, and the rest of Arturia!

This is THE gold standard for how a company should treat it's loyal user base, Philippe - in my mind: you've set a precedent; an example, that *all* companies should pay attention to!

We as Origin lovers and users have no excuses now not to keep our beloved machines up and running for as long as possible - and - my prediction is that with all the critical information now easily accessible, there's a good chance that the value of remaining Origins in retailer's inventory should see an increase -

Lets' face it guys:

The Origin keyboard is *easily* one of the sexiest keyboards that has ever been made!

I now rest easy, knowing that the life of my beloved instrument has likely been increased, since Arturia gave me what I need to deal with issues as they (naturally) arise utilizing a keyboard of this complexity.

Long live Arturia - long live the Origin!

Very good news indeed! My two Origins are running just fine at the moment: one in my studio and other on the road. Big knob issue aside, I haven't have any major issues lately 😃

Let's wish brighter future for our beloved Origins!

In the "Remove the screen.pdf", the step "Replace the front card on the panel and make sure that the sheet and the side connector are well are passed through the card." - that's what I'm having a hard time with. What they are calling the "sheet" I call the ribbon connector, and it is very short and curved, and it is very hard to "pass it through the card" when trying to put the Origin back together.

Phillipe who is the smiling guy at the end of the "Remove the screen.pdf"? It would be awesome if he could create a YouTube video showing how he puts the Origin back together  :)

^ The download works fine here. Did you click the little downward arrow on top of the screen?

If you still can't get it going, leave a message here, or PM me, and I'll DropBox or e-mail it.

Edit: Just to put your mind at little at ease, there's a fuse, a reverse biased diode (S2A), an inductor and a rectifier diode (SL42) before the current hits the regulators...

Thanks for your kind reply

If you could e-mail me the schematics that would be very much appreciated, its voltage paths my tech is looking for

Best Regards

^ I've sent you two e-mails, one with the schematics files attached, and one with a link to a copy in my DropBox. The latter is in case the huge mail (23MB) doesn't get through - not all e-mail providers handle that big files.

I recommend that you edit the e-mail address out of the two postings you made above. Evil internet robots and crawlers harvest publicly available e-mail addresses like that so they can be spammed, sold and abused in untold ways.

This thread is a life saver! Thanks for this!
I might still need the Origin Desktop board donor but at least we have the schematics ! :)

Help, my Origin desktop, which has worked great, is now showing the following problem:
On power up I get no LEDs,
A bright, solid white-ish screen with slowly developing, multi-color vertical lines that eventually fade away back to mostly white after a few minutes.
No sound,
No USB recognition by the computer.

I looked through the technical documents and tested all the points for voltage in the Technote 06 Power Supply .pdf. All the caps/points tested fine except the following:
C2181 showed a little over 1v instead of between 3.23v to 3.35v
C2178 showed about .3v instead of between 1.15v to 1.25v
C2159 barely registered anything when it should be between 2.45v to 2.55v

So now what can I do? Try to replace those surface mount capacitors? I don't think I have the inverter problem or any of the USB firmware issues. And I know it has been years since there has been any real support from Arturia. I just fucking love my Origin and refuse to let it die. Any help/advice??
