Title: Summing error
Post by: kickwizard on November 19, 2014, 02:53:38 pm
Some bug i just noticed

When you have multi out the aux still send the return sum to the master (which is one)

So you can have a kick on one and a snare on two and the snare will bleed though to the kick when the aux sends are up

Hi this is normal as your right the if you send the kick to master(1) this will sum with the aux sends (master out ) best thing to do is treat master out as an fx out and set kick to out 2 and so on as some pads can be the same ,such as perc

This would be a sort of ok temp workaround but you cant save mixer presets

But I found out you can delete the defaults and it crashes Cubase and you need to reinstall spark to fix it  :'(

I don't use the aux sends so I unloaded all the effects from the kit turn the returns down and route them to 16

Then don't use 16

My bad cubase saves the state of the mixer so its not all bad and if the return faders are not up theres no audio coming though

And i now use 16 for a sidechain trigger

It just be nicer option if you had the option to route to null on the returns

Sorry for that its my inexperience in routing

What i also do is save another Spark preset for multiple outs, so Save as: Great_Beat_1_MO for example. It used to be the case that in Pro Tools although the plug in state was saved, the preset defaulted to normal outs.

Thanks, Stuart
