I am consistently getting double hits from the pads on my Beatstep. Is there any way to adjust the sensitivity to prevent this? I've recorded a video of this when triggering my Volca Beats here:

Hi , is this only on one pad or more. do you have the latest firmware installed
terrym

It seems to happen across all of the pads. I currently have firmware version 1.1.0.0 installed.
-
How do you have beatstep connected to your set up as it maybe double midi notes,
-
I've seen it do this connected directly via a MIDI cable as well as going through my PC. (i.e. Beatstep USB->MIDIOX->MIDI Out->Volca)
-
Does it happen with other pieces of equipment or just the volca?
-
I tried it with some soft synths and my microbrute and it behaved similarly.

HI i see in the video your using a black usb lead did this come with beatstep ? as mine are white. also do you have a way to plug beatstep into a usb power socket other than the pc ,say like an apple usb charger. to see if the double notes are still there , you must use the correct type of usb lead for connection to your pc and it could cause problems otherwise .
plugging into your pc could be a driver issue if you have not tried powering it from somewhere else.
let me know how you get on

I switched to the included USB cable and tried it through my PC and still got double hits. The same for powering it with a wall wart and using a midi cable.

Ok have you been in touch with arturia support yet. and have you tried reinstalling the firmware, if it still not working after a firmware it must be a hardware issue .get in touch with arturia .theres not much more i can do to help .

I finally got around to getting a beatstep this week and I had this exact same problem which made it pretty much unusable. Seems it isn't a common issue so thought about sending it back for a replacement, but instead decided to take it apart and have a look, nothing looked wrong and so I experimented with a few different materials between the Pads and sensor as I've done this with MPCs in the past. In the end just some bubblejet sticker paper in strips either side of each light slot sorted it completely and made the responsiveness a bit better for my taste. Just thought I'd add it here in case anyone else comes across the problem, although it undoubtedly voids the warranty :)

I have a similar problem with a brand new beatstep I received today.
It produces multiple trigger. Some pads are more prone to the problem than others.
Here is a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rnYa70HaYDo
Does someone has the same problem ?

I could handle this playing a bit harder. Therefore I use the exponential velocity curve for most expressive play / aftertouch.
BTW: It would be nice to have the option to disable aftertouch in MCC. ;)

I am having this issue aswell.
All pads randomly generate double hits - making the device completely useless unfortunately.
My guess is that it is a hardware problem.
-
Has anyone addressed this problem yet? My beat step does the exact same thing and it makes it totally useless for me. I contacted their support last week but still haven't heard back from them. I'll probably just return it. It's too bad because I have a keystep and love it. It works great.

I'm getting double hits as well. It would be so nice to program drums with this thing, but it's completely useless for this task as it is..
Could someone from arturia please advise how to rectify this?

Sorry, but what is bubblejet sticker paper? I might try this fix..

Mine does this, too. Arturia is notorious for releasing buggy/malfunctioning hardware, and then throwing up their hands/not honoring support/not fixing bugs for years if ever. I mean they release this product where the most important central functionality does not work correctly.
Flip it and move on. Give your money to a better company.
