Title: MB to Korg Mono/Duo/delay trons?
Post by: johnp352 on June 20, 2014, 09:06:53 pm
Just got my MB, pretty impressed so far. I have the trio of little Korg monotrons and I'm having them modified for gate and pitch in. Has anyone used the pitch and gate out of the MB to play these when this mod has been done? Seems like a cheap way to add some more oscillators.

Thanks.

Did you get this done? The Duo would be awesome with CV control.

I've modified my monotron for cv/gate in. Takes a little while to get the tuning just right but it sounds quite nice. I also ran the output of the microbrute in to the aux in of the monotron so I could use the filter. It's pretty lush! Now I just need to build a bigger case for the monotron and maybe attach it to the microbrute as a second filter/oscillator :D

edit: here's what it sounds like, if anyone's interested. Monotron is playing the fifth harmony. Both signals processed through monotron filter. A bit of reverb and delay added but no additional processing!

At the very end it switches back to microbrute only

I know I'm necro-ing a thread here. But is the Monotron 1v/oct? I don't think so, right? How did you get it to track the MicroBrute pitch CV?
