Its my first day with the Beatstep and I would like to share some impressions:
The "feel" of the controller is very good and the pads have the right velocity for my fingers.
The sequencer runs tight - in my setup with Ableton Live I am using a Midi-Pre-Delay of -42ms.
I would suggest a few updates for future-firmware-updates:
1. In Sequenzer-Mode: Turn the Encoders with "Shift"= Velocity
2. In Sequenzer-Mode: Turn the Encoders with "Chan" = Gate-Length
3. In Sequenzer-Mode: Turn the Level/Rate with "Shift" = Swing
Also: Even in Acceleration-Mode the Encoders are MUCH too slow for fast movements. It tales about 5 turn to get the full 0-127 scale. Please update!
Thanks a lot, great controller!

Yes, after only a day I can def. feel those would be great implementations to make the sequencer waaay more useful.
FIngers crossed Arturia!

I wrote this MaxForLive-patch to speed up the encoders. Speedfactor 5 would be one turn for the whole 128 values. The ramp is interpolated so you dont hear any glitches.

+1 for the encoder issue in Live, and thanks pyrolator for the max patch.

Will this let me change to any of the 16 presets for changing knobs function ?
I don't want to control just 16 parameters.
