Title: 1.5 Demo!
Post by: Blue Monster 65 on June 25, 2012, 04:19:05 am
Sean demoed the beta version of 1.5 at Sweetwater's Gear Fest for me this past weekend - very cool!  New features include Oberheim filters (!), turntable-style scratching, 16 tunings and some more that I can't recall at the moment (I think there were some new FX routings, if I recall correctly).   I was most impressed with the 16 tunings mode; you can use either the 16 sequencer pads to program in a melody line or play one live on the lower pads.  It was a lot easier than tweaking with the tuning knob!  Not sure when it's supposed to drop for users, but it seemed to be pretty close to ready from what he showed me.  I hope so!

This sounds, great, I hope Spark is developed for a long time to come. I think something people don't get about spark, is just how fast the workflow is! Tuning would be a great addition and filters perhaps herald cooler stuff to come!

A poly mode would be cool.

For the moment, there is no public beta available.
We are providing a version to some people that are encountering CPU issue in order to solve this problem.
The public beta should be available in August.

Very cool!  I hope the beta testing goes well and quick.  I really dug what I saw and heard at Gear Fest.   I also hope it solves any CPU problems people are having.

Thanks for your work on this, Kevin!
