Title: MiniMg V Original
Post by: Plank on June 21, 2012, 10:29:28 pm
So, I have just download the free MiniMg V Original, first off, a very big "Thank You" to all at Arturia for giving it to us.
Just one grip to start with, were is the manual? (Not for me, but others gettting the free version might need it).
Will it load all of the patches & banks of the normal full version?.
As some of the patches that are in the free version have FX as part of the patch, is there any way to edit the FX at all?.

yes big thanks to Arturia. I didn't buy the Mini because I can do its sounds with my MMV2, but the Mini's smaller GUI and installation on machines without dongle can be useful.

Now I only need a code to unlock the plugin. I read this was possible earlier on the Arturia site, but now only over Facebook. I don't have a Facebook account, and don't intend to get one. Is it possible to get this code without Facebook?

@Plank
This version has no dedicated user's manual, however it shares most of its features with the regular MiniMg V 2.5, so you can download the latter user's manual from here:

Plank... I'm guessing the FX are "permanently" part of the patch.  In the exploring I've done so far, it seems the only editing permitted is turning the effect on or off.  Can someone from Arturia confirm this?

Two more...
1)  Can the arpeggiator be turned off?
2)  Is there a way to form multiple columns when viewing the presets list instead of one long column that has to be scrolled?

And yes... a big thank you, Arturia, for the opportunity to have this great synth for free!

Does the MiniMg V load as a plugin for Analog Laboratory, meaning: can I start the Analog Laboratory with the MiniMg V working with the presets and modify them with the download? Or can I just use the MiniMg V without presets?
Thanks!

No No No and no.  The effects and arps are part of the patch.
