Title: Software Editor. Does it exist?
Post by: EliansDad on November 18, 2010, 09:15:21 pm
Hello Arturia community!
I'm trying to figure out if there is a software editor for the Arturia Origin Keyboard. I'm in a studio for a limited time, they have the hardware, and I'd really like to be able to edit the synth much faster than the click-knob allows.

This is a time-sensitive request, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Take care!
Adam

Hi Adam,

sorry, there's no software editor available at this tiime.

The Origin Connection software is used to import/export/manage presets and update the firmware.

Although we are aware of the usefulness of a software editor, with a little practice, you will find that editing on the unit iself using the dedicated knobs is actually pretty fast.

I just think it's weird that the feature list of this hardware says, "Software editor (Mac/PC)".

Tiny non-touch screens will always be tedious, but I'm slugging through it. Thanks for the reply.

The editor does not exist yet. However we know that this is a much awaited feature and we are seriously considering the possibility to provide such an editor as part of a future update (may be the one following the 1.3).
