Title: Prophet VS switches to Prophet V when midi starts

I've just installed Prophet V1.21 on XP, SP2.

I had one instance of Prophet V running, and one instance of Prophet VS running.

Sequencer (instance 1) ---> MidiYoke1 ---> Prophet V

Sequencer (instance 2) ---> MidiYoke2 ---> Prophet VS

Both Prophets were playing nicely.

I had stopped both sequencers, went to eat, then came back and turned the sequencers on again.

Every time I started the 2nd sequencer, the Prophet VS would switch back to Prophet V mode.

I closed the Prophet V window, opened Prophet VS back up and tried again. Same thing.

After closing the Prophet VS window and restarting it, it happened a third time.

I dont understand what is happening, and why the Prophet VS wont play now

Any suggestions?

Hello Cappy,

Yes, I have a similar problem with the modes switching but for me it happens when I attempt to control the joystick on the VS via MIDI. This is odd.

Have you got program change info on one of the tracks that both instances of Prophet V are responding to?

If so, it could because both are assigned to the same MIDI channel.
