Dear Arturia Team
We all want the software to work as planned, these will be fantastic products if this can be realized. Hardware is also important, here are my questions:
1 Are these units made in house, in France or by a third party such as CME
2 Who makes the key bed
3 Has Arturia selected premium switch contacts, pots, and encoders or gone for economy.
4 What level of quality has been generally chosen, flagship product quality or mid range etc (say compared to Roland synths)
Thanks in advance
Best regards

Hi Bernard,
I'll try to give you some elements of response, trying to be the most accurate possible without revealing inner secrets :wink:
1. Origin synthesizers are crafted in France, only naked PCBs come from China;
2. The keyboard has been designed and built by Fatar;
3. We selected the optimal compromise between playability, reliability and robustness; might not be all ALPS controllers, but the "built like a tank" feeling is omnipresent;
4. Origin is our first hardware synthesizer, therefore we choose to release a flagship; building quality can be compared to a well known cold-white synth from Germany, but in matter of sounds nothing can be compared to Origin 8)
Okay, I already spoke too much...
Going to make my self-criticism at the Arturia PolitBuro...
