Title: dumb midi assignment question
Post by: beatfest on June 21, 2007, 11:50:56 am
how the heck do you assign velocity to anything? (filter cutoff, vca, etc). most synths i used previously have it in the modulation section or even a dedicated knob for the filter cutoff and vca, but i couldnt see one and theres nothing in the galaxy modulation section. i thought i could use midi learn and select the midi cc number for velocity manually, but that would do away with other assignable controllers (unless you can assign more than one?) and it didnt work anyway.

ps. can someone confirm what is the midi cc number for velocity?

pps. im no synth expert but im not quite as novice as these questions might suggest.....honest!  :?

Hello,

just like the original one, the Jupiter 8V doesn't respond to velocity...

hahahaha no, seriously, we decided not to implement it in the 1st version, and it's not a joke. The implementation of the velocity will probably take place in a future update.
