Hi Guys,
Currently having a nightmare with sparkel atm and basically considering selling it as I have spent hours trying to get the controller to work within Logic X seamlessly and also control Geist within Logic X.
I have changed the audio midi driver as stated and also created the ports withing logic and still no joy!
Has anyone got a template that I can use before I finally give up :-[
Thanks,
Mark J

Hi , are you trying to use sparkle as a controller for logic x or is it a problem with using sparkle in logic x . if you want to use sparkle as a controller are you putting sparkle in to midi mode ? and creating a template . i started making a template for geist for spark cdm controller you would have to build a template in geist and sparkle for them to work.
get back to me i se if i can help.

Hi!
I have found out, the hard way, that I can start and stop patterns on Spark with Logic Pro X. In sync with the tempo on Logic.
Not record anything.
But I can drag&drop the patterns I've made as audio clips into Logic and use them there.
That's all! Nothing more. So that's how I use Spark. No "seamless integration".
I guess because both Spark and Logic are "sequencers" they both want to be in control. Not slaves.

Hi you can record in to logic from the pads or record the sequence . have you selected send pads to sequencer in the pref ?

"... have you selected send pads to sequencer in the pref ?"
Spark prefs are avalible in standalone mode, not as VST.

I do not see any "send pads to sequencer"?

HI , preferences are in AU and vst and logic only uses AU.

Ah ... you mean here:

But there is no "send pads to sequencer" there???

What version are you on? i thought you had a problem in logic?
-
Mac OS X 10.9.2
Logic Pro X 10.0.1
Arturia Spark 1.7.1
There is actually no problem, I have it worked out;
- Controller = on
- Host = on
- Tempo = on
then I go
Bottom/Library/Edit/Pattern/Render => drag&drop to desired position on a track in Logic
So I can build a song pattern by pattern. But not seamless "on the fly" as I expected from the beginning.

Ah!
That looks like a really good method -I'll try that!
Thanks!
