Title: Keylab 61 & iPad air

have tried to use the KL61 as a controller for the iPad air.  direct connect via usb does not work because of power issues for iPad. 

have connected both to a usb hub.  cannot get them to communicate and use 61 as a controller.

do I have to get the AC adapter for this setup?

any help would be welcome.   ???

I've used the keylab 61 with a 3rd generation iPad successfully but it did require purchasing a power supply for the keylab (the one recommended on this site via amazon) and using Apple's camera connection kit.  I have both iMini and iSEM apps on the ipad.
