Title: import export midi mappings
Post by: stuey on November 09, 2013, 03:33:31 pm
Having just spent some time setting up all my CC values for both Spark and the 61 Analog lab keyboard (old style) I know would really like to export the maps along with the hardware midi set ups, so I can swap them between my computers. (Laptop for live and DJ)

Apart from digging under the Max OSX bonnet and dragging pref files out, is there a way we can have the ability to export these midi maps?
Having assigned all of the knobs and switches on the mini V, i don;t really want to have to do it on every machine I use it on.

The hardware side of this is easy, I can just open up a Spark or midi centre file on the appropriate device, but the midi CC maps are a bit different.

Any help gratefully received.

Or, if we can have an import export feature added, that would be grand!

Thanks, Stuart

So I finally found it Kevin. I had to dig around in all kinds of folders. /Library/Preferences/miniMg V. There are XML files in that folder that relate to the midi configs you create and save. Finally I can now move these files between machines without having to re-map.

I only wish someone had given a hand.

oh well, solved now.

However, it's still not working. Is there any other file I need to copy over as well as the XML? A preference file maybe?
