Title: Update Firmware - "Can't find the keyboard. Make sure it's connected and retry"
Post by: Dav1d on September 25, 2013, 10:48:19 am
Most of the time this issue can be caused by a problem when pressing the 3 keys:
SOUND + EDIT + MULTI at the same time then reboot.

Press these keys between 5 to 10 seconds to make sure.

You should see the Update message appearing on the screen.

Please try this operation another time if it's not working the first time, then update the Firmware.

Hi David,

I'm now waiting so long (to my taste) to get this sorted out. I wrote at least two support request explaining what was happening and no answer to it. This is very frustrating after having bought a new keyboard.  So I get the update screen on my KL61. THIS is OK. But the problem is that as soon as I unplug the KL61 (which has been previously recognized by MCC with 1.19 firmware version), it disappear in AudioMidi config. and when I re-plug it i creates another peripheral in AudioMidi that isn't named KeyLab61 and therefore is not recognized at this step by MCC : therefore the error message labeled in the title of this subject. Can this be solved please !!!
Also, the presets saving doesn't work with KL61 : I do the config in MCC then send it to KL61, then try to save it in KL61 via "Edit/Store" procedure choose any of the eleven presets available let's say 01 (or any other else) confirm by clicking on value button. when I try to recall it, nothing of my config has been saved...
PLEASE PLEASE, HELP NEEDED !!!

Stilinline:
Not sure, that seems to refer to your issue.

i have exactly the same problem here with my key lab 49!

also tried ti contact the support but nothing really helpful came from there. i was told to upgrade to the latest firmware :-)
seems like they didn't read my message, cos the whole reason i was contacting the is because i CAN NOT update…

anyway, did you solve the problem somehow?

Hi,

You can download the latest MCC app there :

http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/downloads/updates.html#MCC

It's a completely new app that has nothing to do with the previous one and it has solved (at least in my case) the problems I had. Much more user friendly and easy to use once you've understood the how's to... :-)

HTH,

Best regards,

Franck
