Title: How to set the sensitivity on the Player 25?
Post by: Pocket Universe on August 01, 2013, 10:05:10 pm
I've just bought an Arturia Player 25 and I'm really happy with the way it feels, the build quality is really great, but I do have one major gripe with it. When I try to use it in my DAW (which happens to be Ableton Live), it's almost useless as soon as I need to use the velocity sensitivity of the controller. In order to create a sound that's even remotely close to what I can use, I really need to pound the poor keyboard (which more than once has made me think that they built it like a tank in order to survive this kind of frustration).

The only way I've managed to kind of make this work is by making a lousy recording, then raising the level of all the MIDI-calls afterwards. This however won't do when I use this thing live. Surely there must be a way to either calibrate the thing or make a script or something that adds some given amount of velocity to the keystrokes?

TL;DR: I need to hammer this poor thing in order to make it sound right, is there a way to calibrate the sensitivity?
