When I trigger notes 9-16 with the spark hardware, using the spark software, it triggers notes 1-8 at the same time unless I mute notes 1-8.
How can I map the hardware so that it plays notes 9-16 on their own?

Did you turn off the Spark Private ports in your MIDI settings of your host?

Hello!!!
Hello!
I had this same problem.
resolved by disabling the "rec" channel function.
;)

OK found it http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=133
thanks
I can't find "Spark Private In" at environment (see screenshot). Do you have any ideas what is wrong with my setup?

Hi. I also have the 9-16 triggering problem.
Running latest Logic and Sparkle.
I am new to Logic and Sparkle having just moved to mac.
Watched the mov. for routing the Spark in logic and get that it doesn't apply to the Sparkle as it has different midi outs (right?). Works when i turn off the rec on the seq channel but that kinda makes it pointless as i can't record it.
Any help from this point would be fantastic.

You are right the port is not the same with SparkLE.
You have to link the port named "SparkLE" to the dummy instrument created in the environment window (as described in this video (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=133)) and create the IAC port in the "Audio MIDI Settings" application (that video) (http://www.arturia.com/evolution/kb/?View=entry&EntryID=151).

I have done everything everyone has said to do, in both Logic and Pro Tools and I still cannot record sounds 9-16 from the actual spark le controller....I've gotten them to not trigger sounds 1-8 that's fine but really useless if I can't use sounds 9-16. Tech support has been a dead end as well... ???

Can you send me you support ticket number?

Thanks for the reply Kevin.
I have taken some pics to show you problems i'm getting. I'm guessing these are due to the differences between Spark and Sparkle.
I have no independent i/o for Sparkle in the Midi Environment. It all runs through the 'sum'. The other ports in the pic are from a 4x4 midiman connected to a different usb port.
I have no Sparkle in the in the IAC just a bus. I'm guessing this relates to the 'sum' in the Midi environment.
Any ideas? Thanks

Several problems here.
Please follow my tutorial it should works the same with 1.7.2 or Spark 2 and with Logic 9 or 10 :

Your IAC driver should be named : Spark1 Midi OUT (case sensitive!)
Send Midi from sequencer and from pads should be checked in pref too.
In environnement window you forget to create a new instrument and to connect it...

Thank you for the help so far.
I got everything to appear as shown in the steps you sent but i'm still double triggering.
Did the IAC thing and got the 'Spark1 Midi OUT' showing up in the top panel of SparkLE. Must be doing something else wrong i guess.
Any other ideas?

you are not on SparkLE, you are on Port A.
SparkLE is the third one not the fourth.

Think that seems to have sorted it. Thanks for all the help.
