I've tried to set the Private In/Out settings in Logic's Environment window, however I'm not seeing what I think I'm supposed to.
I've attached a screenshot...
The controller seems to work okay, but when I hit a pad from the 9-16 range, it will play the corresponding instrument from the 1-8 range. Effectively giving a double note - two instruments at the same time.
Thanks in advance for any help...

Hi, i had a look at this today and had the same problem ,first i cannot see spark 1 midi out in your environment but what i did was route straight from spark 1 midi out as in my screenshot to the keyboard and move the sum out the way ,i am not a logic user anymore so i,m a bit rusty. this should solve the double hits, may be kevin could answer this problem better as im not sure if the spark midi out is needed as sparkle sends out its own midi without connecting to the gui ,if you still have problems after this you will have to assign each pad a midi note starting from c3/60 .on the first pad.
i also tried turning the spark midi driver off but the just left the sparkle playing different notes.
hope this helps

Thank you. I'll try this tonight.
I'm not sure why I can't see Spark 1 midi OUT in the environment.... Strange.

did you try after restarting ?
-
Yes, many times....
Is there a preferred sequence to start?
Plug in SparkLE Controller > Start Logic > Start Spark
or
Start Logic > Start Spark > Plug in SparkLE Controller
or another way... Does it make a difference?

Thanks again for taking the time to help... really appreciate it.

Terry you are my hero!
I did a system restore from TimeMachine, reinstalled Spark and followed your instructions.
No more double notes.
:D
Thank you so much.
