Title: Vst file issue with Live 9
Post by: Machek on April 11, 2013, 11:16:03 pm
Hi guys,

New to this forum, had previous experiences with Arturia products. Love the ARP2600, which I used quite often on projects in Live 8.

My problem is: I recently upgraded to Live 9 and my beloved ARP2600 V2 vst doesn't appear anymore in my vst file and can't load into the session. I tried everything I could think of, reinstalled the plugin, reinstalled Live, reregistered, triple checked the bittage of my Daw and of the vst... Strangest thing is : the stand alone app works perfectly on my brand new Windows 8-loaded Asus !!

I emailed the tech support at Ableton but these guys are just USELESS: it took them a week to tell me to check if my daw and my plugin were both 32 or 64 bits... WTF ?!!

Do some of you have the same problem ? Please help me guys I really need it back badly, all my other Arturia vst's worked BUT the ARP which I paid good money for !! If someone knows anything...

Till then: take care.

Cheers, Machek

I saw you posts on google was having the same problem linking the vintage synth vst to Ableton 9. I had an ah-ha moment and realized that by now someone must have made a virtual midi. they in fact have...

I down loaded LoopBe1 (http://www.nerds.de/en/download.html) gladly it isn't spyware.

Open arturia, then open ableton, and configure midi. make sure in live preferences to turn LoopBe Output on, and vallah, you have midi from Live controlling arturia vintage synths with keyboard...

any questions, give me some words...
