Title: Which Minibrute revision do I have? --- 1st or second batch?
Post by: ///OSS on December 12, 2012, 05:27:38 pm
Im curious if Bruno can chime in on how to know which revision do each of us have and what are the exact differences.

I read that the first batch has the potentiometers set very short and the throw isnt as wide as the second revision.  Is that all that i should be concerned with?

This is covered on the forum here somewhere (I'm too lazy to find it). The range covered is the same, the pot just has a different slope/taper to it so that the range is distributed differently across the turn of the pot. If you find the official thread on this, there are pics that show the difference.

I don't know the exact serial number yet, but beside the fact for the exact same knobs position, the sound will be a bit different on an old and new machine, they are no difference. On both you have the same sonic possibilities.
