Title: newcomer question : is there a favorite or PC preset list somewhere ?
Post by: csurieux on January 31, 2023, 08:24:38 pm
Hello,

I use these lists on new Korg Wavestate and Modwave Native synths (and on their physical counterparts) : there is two preset lists, favorite and midi PC.
Let's attach to the midi PC list : it is a list where we could create a relation between a Program Change value (0-127) and a preset, and it is saved somewhere on computer storage.
When I send from an external controler a midi PC on the global channel of the plugin (or the standalone version), the corresponding preset is automatically loaded and activated.

I read various docs in the V-Collection 9 I just bought and I don't think there is something similar.
Concerning presets and midi, I just found a way to do previous or Netx in the preset list.

Could someone confirm there is no such process to recaal presets from midi ? Thanks.

No - because there is. It's called Playlists in Arturias applications.
You can select Playlists by using midi Bank Select messages. And you can select Presets in a Playlist using midi ProgramChange messages.
You create your own playlists.

About Favorites, then you can favorite presets, and you can even tag presets with different colors. Beside that you can create banks and use Comments in presets that you can search for using the preset Browser search functionality. Very powerful preset system.

I suggest you spend some time to explore the possibilities.

Great thanks, The playlist feature is not easy to discover, especially before having created the first, but it is here.
Do you know where they are stored in a Windows OS ?

I bought it so it is not to stay somewhere on a lost SSD. Thanks but not really positive...

How shall i understand this? I see no correlation between what you have quoted or the rest of my reply or your initial question and your response.
I have no interest in giving further positive replies and suggestions just to get negative response, if that's the case.
