Title: Female voice about sustain pedal levels
Post by: Gijsbert Ambachtsheer on January 13, 2023, 04:08:40 pm
He there, I've got a very weird problem. I have a Arturia Piano V3 track in Reaper. Worked fine for weeks, but sinds today I hear a female computer voice saying "Sustain Pedal, zero point zero".

I've turned the VST of then it disappears. Also when I remove sustain pedal midi info on the track.

Any ideas would be very welcome :)

Hello,

It's the Narrator/ Screen reader on your computer OS or a installed third party Narrator/ Screen reader. Just disable it.
Hopefully that's it.

Not sure, I've checked and there is indeed a narrator app on my Windows, but it's in Dutch. Forget to say that the voice started after I changed the volume of the piano.

Piano V does'nt produce the voice.
Are you on MAC or Windows?
You can find info about the OS own build in Narrators on the web. Just search your OS and Narrator.
They can be set to different languages. And it can be set to different voices.

I'm on Windows. My Arturia apps did'nt enable the Narrator automaticly. But i get a voice, when i enable it.

I've just seen there is a update that fix an Narrator issue, causing it to work when disabled. I suggest you update.
Perhaps you are one that have this issue.
