What ist the difference between the new PROPHET-VS V and the former version as delivered with V-Collection 8? Why should I pay $50 for an upgrade?

Hi,
I suggest you download the new applications and run them in demo mode to find out yourself.

Hi !
The Prophet VS-V is a totally new instrument, and we reworked it from 0 with a full team.
So it's not an update of the previous version but a new hybrid instrument like we did with the SQ80 V !
Also, we added all modern arturia features like effects, functions, dispersions...

in my opinion, Arturia (Devs and Testers) gave the New VS-V a lot of love
it's very well designed and has all the latest Arturia treatments
the key thing though (for a user to decide) is if they like the Sound (and are ok with the Limits) of what the VS-V can sonically do.
from a sound generation point of view, there are limitations (in my personal opinion) based on the limits of the (orig) VS-V architecture, technology and purpose.
It's kinda of like a Yamaha DX-7 in the "digitalness" of what it can do, and is not an analogue sounding device.
But, the VS-V sounds can be added to other Synths or used for their clear, distinct sound where needed.
I might do the upgrade, and am in "final decision mode" on: if I would ever really use the VS-V in a track/song.
But, it's clear that Arturia did develop this new (from scratch) and they did an excellent job in my opinion

I'm really enjoying the VS-V. but is there a way to translate all the presets I made from the older version?
