Title: Can you use the MiniFuse with another audio interface on the same computer?
Post by: pkskySynth on May 08, 2022, 07:19:10 pm
I  have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and I would also like to get MiniFuse 1, but I would like to know if it is possible to use two USB audio interfaces on the same computer. Is this possible? A quick search on Google suggests this is not possible on Windows 10, but I'd like to hear a confirmation here with maybe more details.

It is possible, but you may have to jump through some hoops to do it, and I don't know how easy and stable it is...

What you want is audio interface aggregation.

To be able to do it, some kind of software that can perform the aggregation is needed. For it to work properly, one interface must be the master, then the other interfaces must be resampled to stay in sync with the master.

I have not attempted it myself, but there is an app that apparently can do it:

I think ASIO4ALL may be able to as well, but I'm not sure how/if it handles selection of a master and resampling of the rest.

I advice you to do some further research, or perhaps some other forumites has been through it and can offer a 'recipe'.

@Koshdukai ?

I'm learning the optimal configurations of the MiniFUSE 2 with the Line 6 HX Stomp and a combination of MIDI controllers, switchers, and expression pedals. I had to use ASIO4ALL on my previous system but with my new DAW, the latest MiniFUSE ASIO drivers seem agnostic enough to work with everything I have.

My primary DAW hardware platform is a DELL XPS 8940, 11th Gen Intel i9-11900K Processor (8-Core, 16M Cache, 3.5GHz to 5.3GHz), 64GB RAM, Windows 11 Pro 64, Linux subsystem. software DAW in order of most used Reaper, Ableton, Ardour. I use keyboard controllers but am primarily a guitarist seeking to create synthesiser tonality and expression that is distinctly recognizable as guitar. My instruments are self-built partscasters with Fishman TriplePlay and Graphtech Hexpander both polyphonic output.
