Title: Split keyboard workaround
Post by: RalphNT on July 20, 2021, 06:35:49 pm
Hi guys. As you know, Arturia doesn't support keyboard splitting on the Essential series. However, there is a workaround if you're using Halion Sonic. (It may work with other instruments, but I'm not familiar with their architecture.)

In Halion, load one instrument on Ch1 and another on Ch2. Click the MIDI button and map the split of the two channels across the keyboard according to your preferences. Then create 2 MIDI tracks, one mapped to Ch1 and the other to Ch2. Highlight both MIDI tracks (well that's what you do in Cubase - shift + click - just make sure the two tracks respond to the keyboard at the same time) and the split will apply! You could have up to 16 splits if you really felt the need..... Hope that's useful.
