Title: How to connect Behringer RD8 and Beatstep Pro through drumgates?

I already use midi for something else, how to use drumgates to control my RD8?

I don't think you can, because the RD8 doesn't have gate/trigger inputs.
Why can't you use MIDI ?

There are a couple of advantages to using MIDI, compared to using the BSP's gate outputs :
1) you can control 16 drums, not just 8,
2) you can make use of velocity to provide dynamics.
