The limited edition Noir is shipping with a new firmware with more memory. Surely this will be available for non-Noir models...
NEW SOUNDS AND FIRMWARE
Create immortal sounds and savor 64 additional presets. With an expanded sonic palette of 320 presets in total, the musical composition produced with this synth can only lead to extraordinary and sublime results. With a light firmware update, sound design in MatrixBrute Noir is as intuitive and potent as ever.

Very hopeful!!

Would be nice!
I'd rather have an companion app (that I'd gladly pay for!) and/or a full sysex implementation. ;)

Plz plz plz
-
would be great indeed! I wonder how the extra 64 presets are accessed?
-
Just a guess, but I think they may have utilized the mod slot buttons to make 4 pages of presets. That would be the way it has been suggested in the past.

Would love to see a field upgradable memory option kit so we to can also take advantage of the Noir FW. But I have a funny feeling upgrading memory isn’t as easy as swapping out modules like you find in a PC.

Hello.
Sorry guys but the announcement on Zzsound is wrong...
The maximum number of preset will still be 256 and the update is simply the fix that some of you asked about the start / stop behaviour.
All the best

Well at least there is that...
Just FYI almost all of the shops have the blurb about 320 presets.

Hey,
We will be releasing 2 new banks of 32 presets to go with it (fully compatible with both MatrixBrute versions though! and they are really good IMHO) so I guess this was the root of the confusion...
We will get the info to the right persons, thanks for the warning!
Best,
Victor
