Title: Vintage Voice Modeling on PolyBrute + Free Patches
Post by: creativespiral on May 18, 2021, 12:49:05 am
I uploaded a new video discussing Vintage Voice Modeling on the PolyBrute, with some more in depth info, examples, and settings for creating vintage style patches on PB. Also, two free patches available as template/starting points.

Still no reply's eh  :o
Well, I want to thank you for making it easy for us. Also very thankful for you opening my eyes on how much difference variance on envelopes makes.

I think, and correct me if I am wrong, it would be nice if in a future update Arturia adds a few more settings for the Envelopes modes (right now 'Default' or 'percussive') to give us options of emulated Roland Juno envelopes and others. Also other scaling options for the sliders as to make it easier to dial in certain values.

Cheers!

You bet Locksley!,  thanks for the note.

Yeah, totally agree about envelopes...   Would love to see some additional options there - a linear option like Juno would be nice.

In general, I feel like the sweet spot in decay/release times is very narrow currently... It's something about the final 10-20% of decay/release time... it drops off too quickly / doesn't ease out gently like on most other synths... an abrupt loss of amplitude toward the end.    Would be nice to have some more options, if possible.

i bought your patches and they are fan-tas-tic!

btw in your video you mentioned, that it's not possible to enter smaller values in pbc. i discovered yesterday that by holding control (mac) you can get a finer resolution

cheers!
